Great Weekend!!!

We had a great weekend (except for the Texas loss against Texas Tech & that's about all I have to say about that!)

It all started out on Friday with the kids dressing up for Halloween. Jon & Kelsey took the little girls around the neighborhood. They had a great time!!!! I have NEVER in my life seen so much candy!!! Jon wore Danny's Marine camouflage outfit, he looked great. Kelsey gave me a real ego boost when she said that she wanted to go as a 80's prom queen, then promptly asked if she could wear my prom dress!!! (She looked great!) Abby wore Kelsey's 8th grade cheerleading outfit, mind you, Abby is only in 2nd grade and it fit her!! - she looked really cute. Kylie went as Hannah Montana.

My babies!!

Also, the following picture is a little fuzzy, but you will see why I can't resist posting it anyway. As a church we had different people donate candy to hand out Friday evening. One of our church family and friends, Renee, came over to help hand out the candy. It was such a blessing to get to sit and visit with her!! We handed out a little paper with the candy that had the church information on it and offered free Bibles. We did not have the opportunity to pass out any Bibles, but we were able to get some information on the church passed out. I am guessing that we had around 100 or so kids.

Saturday night after we were winding down, Danny & I got to spend some quality time with Jon & Kelsey. We enjoyed sitting and visiting with them. We listened to a tape that Danny had of Jon's mom. Jon's mom passed away 11 years ago and he had never heard this tape of her testimony. We all sat and listened to it and cried. What a blessing it was for him to hear not only her voice, but the testimony of how she came to Christ and her own struggle of losing her own mother. Wow!! She said that her favorite scripture was in Romans 10:13 (I am quoting ESV) "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." I am so thankful for that scripture!!

It's official, the time change is here!!! Hopefully, it will be easier to get up in the morning!!! I thought I would get an extra hour of sleep, but as it was, it was only opportunity to stay up even later!

We had a great service today and I'm looking forward to our first membership class coming up!!!

I'm looking forward to a great week!! How about you? I can't wait to hear your thoughts and comments!! I love you my friends!!!!
