Happy Fall.......

Thought I would share some random thoughts on this first day of fall 2008:

1. I LOVE fall!!!!! It is one of my most favorite times of year!!!!! (I can't wait to put out my fall decorations.) I love the leaves changing, although we don't see much of it here. I also love the cooler temperatures. (By the way, the weather forecast this evening calls for the 90's for the rest of the week!!!! HA) It has been SO dry, so I'm hoping for a little rain. They said that this year has not only been tied for the hottest summer on record here in Austin, but also the 7th driest so far. The driest being back in the 50's and 20's!!! Besides all the sights and smells of fall, as most of you who know me know that I absolutely LOVE football season!!!! This weekend was really great with my high school winning (again), the Longhorns win and the Cowboys on top, can it get any better?????

2. I am SO thankful for what the Lord is doing at Oasis Church. He has brought us some wonderful people and I am so excited to see who He is bringing next. Most of you are already like family to us and we are so excited that the Lord has chosen to bring you to us. We are so blessed to have you here. It's so exciting to see how everyone responds to the Word!!! Awesome!!! I am so proud of Kelsey and Jon and the job that they have been doing helping us to lead worship. It's always a joy to see young people worshiping the Lord when they could have so many outside distractions and influences.

3. I had someone drop by and bring me flowers today. It was such a sweet surprise and the Lord knew what He was doing!! I needed that encouragement today. Thank you so much!!!!!!!

4. Kylie had an Eye Dr. appt. today. I am so pleased to say that in her right eye (with her glasses on) her vision was back to 20/25, however, her left eye was only at 20/100. I tell you what, I have a hard time listening to the Dr. sometimes, she is very nice, but I want to tell her that I don't receive what she is saying. She is sitting there telling me that we may only end up with 20/100 vision in her left eye due to a piece of "tissue" back behind her eye that is not supposed to be there. There is "nothing" that can be done about that "tissue". Well, I happen to know who made all her tissue and I believe that it is God's will for that baby to see 100% and I'm not just believing for correct vision with her glasses, I'm believing that God will completely heal her. For you prayer warriors, we would be grateful for you to add this to your list. After all we've done this past year to help correct her vision, we are still where we were last October. However, I know that it is all in HIS timing!!!!!

5. Danny has been down in his back for about 2 weeks, please pray for him. I sort of strained my back a little this weekend, so both of us have been pretty pitiful laying around on a heating pad!!! (And no, we are not old, yet!!!) Danny hurt his throwing Kylie up in the air, mine got sore from cleaning ALL day Saturday and then I went dumpster diving for 2 hours with Jon. I was looking for my ring, I thought it may have come off when I threw the recycled paper in the dumpster. After searching for 2 hours, I was EXHAUSTED!!! We let Sonic cook a late dinner for us. After the little girls went to bed, I got a bath and was ready for bed. I took all the pillows off the bed and pulled the covers back, low and behold there was my ring, laying in the bed!!!! SORRY JON!!!! He was such a trooper and got a good laugh at it and yet another opportunity to make fun of me!!!!

6. I enjoyed spending time with my family this weekend. I love my husband's company and also had a great time with the kids. There is nothing better than we are all together.

6. I'm looking forward to a GREAT week ahead!!! I love your comments, don't be shy about leaving them. I can't wait to hear from you my friends!!!!

Blessings,
Cheryl

Ii know that little eye will heal and we will keep on praying also.
sorry about the backs and I know sooo well how that is miserable. Remember, coming from a nurse: only 20 mins. of heat at a time or it's more damaging than none. If an ice bag feels better use that also, and IBP taken REGULARLY 600mg with food unless your stomach doesn't allow it.
My dear Wayne came out 2nd from the top in admissions at Apollo college this month. I am so proud of him! The one ahead of him is the assist. manager. Jesus is beside him every minute we know.He has had to learn a whole new copmputor system without much help and is still doing well. Thanks for your prayers!
We rejoice with you about your healthy church and know that God is being glorified!
Have a great week end. We love fall also! My sister-in-law sends me leaves from home when they turn. I love it!

    Love and prayer,
    Sharon
