A finished work and a work still in progress..............
When I was pregnant with Kylie, Danny's mother (Shirley, Granny) was making a quilt for Kylie. Shirley passed away a little over 2 months before Kylie arrived. After Shirley's passing, we received the unfinished quilt. Words could not express all the emotions we felt as we were holding our month old baby and realizing again that Granny would never hold Kylie. For over 6 years we have had the quilt, yet it was not complete. Danny's sister had it for a while and tried to find someone to finish it, I asked a cousin of mine at family reunion this year about finishing it, however, I never followed through.
A few weeks ago we had a wonderful lady Gail and her husband Jay come and join us at Oasis Church. What a blessing. Gail asked for prayer as she and some of her friends were going to Ft. Hood to deliver quilts to soldiers. The unfinished quilt automatically came to mind. I mentioned it after Sunday church and she said that she would take it and finish it. Wow!!!!
When she arrived on Wednesday evening for church, this is what she brought with her:

A finished work!!!!!

A little more detail!!!!
What a blessing to have Granny's work completed!!! What a gift!!!! Gail had her friend Pat help and we appreciate these ladies so very much!!!!! Thank you for such a wonderful gift that we will treasure forever. I did not expect to receive it back so quickly, but Gail said that we had waited 6 years and that was long enough!!! Thanks again to Gail & Pat, words could never express how much we appreciate what you've done for us!!!
While the quilt may be finished, I am still a work in progress!!!! Although sometimes painful, I am so thankful for the work that God is doing through me and in me. I was reminded again today of God's faithfulness to Danny & I and from how far He has brought us!!! All glory to God!!
I'm looking forward to hearing from you my friends. I hope you have a blessed Wednesday. I'm looking forward to hearing a good word tonight!!!!!
