Happy Birthday Kelsey!!!!!!

I was telling you earlier in the week about the fact that I was feeling "old". One of the reasons for that was because today Kelsey turned 15 years old. Honestly, I don't know where all the time has gone. It goes by so fast. She has turned into a wonderful young lady & I couldn't be any prouder of her.

We have had a great day today. We started off the day with our "official" launch of Oasis Church. We were all blessed by the word that Danny brought this morning. Kelsey picked out a great mexican food restaurant for lunch. Later in the afternoon, Kelsey & I went and got pedicures and manicures. It was VERY relaxing & wonderful to get to spend that time together.

Kelsey's birthday became "complete" tonight as we began watching NFL Preseason Football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kelsey said that the LONG drought was over & I couldn't agree with her more. This is absolutely my most favorite time of year. There is nothing better than football season. We follow all of it; high school, college & professional. Tonight as we were watching the game, we were SO excited to see "Red" Richardson #40 on the Washington Redskins make a great interception & run it back for a touchdown. "Red" hails from Arkansas (which really doesn't excite me); however, "Red" originally came from Marlin High School right here in Texas. This has special meaning as that is where Danny graduated high school. We go to lots of Marlin games and followed "Red" throughout his high school career. It is so exciting to see him on the professional level!!!! You will hear me talk about football plenty more over the next few months!!!

I can't believe that Kelsey is 15. I am so blessed to have her as my daughter. She is a treasure & a blessing to our family. I can't wait to see what God has in store for her.

I hope you have a blessed week!!! I can't wait to hear your thoughts & comments!!!

I know EXACTLY how you feel!! Mason has been 15 since March 1st. ALL he talks about is CARS & Music. But he has also grown into a great young man. You & I are so lucky to have good kids; there are so many people out there who have "lost" their children to the world. We just have to keep praying for them. Congratulations on your beautiful birthday girl!
