Little Bird.....

Yesterday we met a friend of mine and her 2 children at the swimming pool. We wanted to get the kids together so that they could play, they had a great time. We took a picnic up to the pool and the kids thought that was REALLY cool. I took a small ice chest and a picnic basket that I had gotten as a graduation gift from high school from our neighbor. (And yes, I still have it after ALL these years)

As my friend and I were sitting there, we saw a white bird fly into the pool area. We both commented on how pretty it was and that we had never seen anything like it before. I got my camera and started trying to take a picture. As I got closer and closer, I realized that the bird was not afraid that of a human being close to it. Danny saw what I was doing & got out of the pool for a closer look.

Here is one of the first pictures I took of the bird.

While everyone was in the pool watching, Danny made an attempt to catch the bird. It flew around a few times before landing back on the gate again.

Here is another picture of the bird when it landed on a lawn chair.

Finally the bird got on the gate where there was room for Danny to reach around it. He safely got the bird and I cleaned out the picnic basket and we put the bird in the basket. We tried driving around right around the pool area to see if anyone was looking for the bird, but, we could not find the owner. I posted a listing on Craigslist and am hoping to find the owner. I plan on putting some fliers out also in the neighborhood. I am sure someone is missing this bird. We kept it in the bathroom last night in the basket & it didn't make a peep. The girls could not wait to get up this morning so that they could look at the bird.

Here is a picture of the bird sitting on the edge of the picnic basket.

Say a prayer that we will find the owner.

By the way, the girls named her, Cloudy Sky Williams. I know this is one experience that they will never forget.

Have a blessed day!!! I can't wait to hear your thoughts.
