If I wasn't feeling old enough....
So, if I wasn't feeling old enough already this week, it was confirmed by Kelsey today. We went to the swimming pool and I sat on the edge with my legs in the pool. The waves in the pool made my legs gently move. I had my hands on my knees and I kept thinking that it felt weird. I told Kelsey to put her hands on my knees and her eyes got big. She told me that my knees creaked just like an old wooden floor. Thanks Kelsey!!!! She had a good laugh after that, I'm glad I can be so entertaining. Ha!!!
On another note, I remember my mom telling a story about my Great Grandmother asking for prayer for the people on the daytime soap operas. Too funny!! Well, it wasn't a soap opera, but I was really deep in prayer today and was going along praying for different people. I caught myself right before I called out someone in prayer, it was truly a blond moment & I had to laugh at myself. I have been reading a great series of books by Karen Kingsbury. She is such a great author, she makes you feel like you know the characters, it really comes to life. I love the way she talks about how the characters pray, etc. Anyway, I caught myself right before I called one of the characters name out in prayer. However, it also made me feel a little good & let me tell you why. Danny had asked me a day earlier to remember to pray for a lady that we have met here in Austin that had surgery this week. The character in the book had the same type of surgery. As I was praying for our acquaintance, the book character came to mind. I believe if a need comes into our hearing, then we should pray. I thank God for the avenue that we have to Him through prayer. I thank him for answered prayer. Now quit laughing at me!!!
Maybe I am getting old!!!
