Lazy Holiday Weekend?

Is there any such thing as a lazy holiday weekend? We were busy all weekend.

Saturday evening we had our service and it was really great.

Sunday we went to Waco and visited with Billy & Alice, we had a great visit. Afterwards, we went to my mom's and let the girls go swimming. They had a blast and we had some great food also.

Today I spent the day doing laundry, etc.; Danny had to work. I just got through mowing the lawn. As I am sitting on the bench outside of our house trying to cool down, Kylie said something funny and I couldn't help but share.

Someone delivered a new phone book to our driveway. Kylie asked Kelsey, "what is that?" Kelsey proceeded to tell her that is was a phone book. She wanted to know what it was for. Kelsey told her that it had phone numbers and stuff in it. Kylie said, "Who reads the phone book anyways?" I laughed so hard, I had already decided that it was going in the recycle bin. Who uses phone books anyway, isn't that what the internet is for??

I hope you all had a blessed weekend. I can't wait to hear what you did. Leave me a comment.

We had a great weekend also. Had a good meal at some church friend's house, there were four couples. After the meal we visited around the table for a while. The couple's house we were at her husband said he would like to receive the Holy Ghost and we started praying and he started speaking in tongues, it was a blessed time. Sunday we went to church and had great services. Today I cooked two racks of baby-back ribs, baked potatoes, corn on the cob and a big salad with avocados. We had a couple over for the meal and they really enjoyed it. I made red rasberry tea. We had watermellon after we played two games of cards, so now I am tired and ready to go to bed.
Enjoyed your blog as always. The phone book story was cute.
    Love you all,
